FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of assessment for electric arc discharges that occur between the inner ring of the bearing and the outer ring of the bearing for the rolling bearing. The method of assessment of electric arc discharges which occur between the inner ring (8) of the bearing and the outer ring (9) of the bearing for the rolling bearing (1). The certain operating condition of the rolling bearing (1) is determined. For determining the particular operating condition at least one of the parameters is set: the number (n) of revolutions of the rolling bearing (1), the temperature of the rolling bearing (1), imbalance acting on the rolling bearing (1), causing vibrations, a lubricant, an axial, radial, tipping load, tipping of the internal ring (8) of the bearing relative to the outer ring (9) of the bearing, the pulse shape, and the pulse repetition frequency of the applied electric voltage (U), bearing clearance and prior bearing damage (1). At that, by applying a pulse electrical voltage between the inner ring (8) of the bearing and the outer ring (9) of the bearing a plurality of electric arc discharges is generated. At that for each electric arc discharge the value is registered, which is characteristic for the energy (E), power, voltage, current and/or duration (t) of the corresponding electric arc discharge. Only those electric arc discharges are assessed, in which the qualifying value (Q) determined according to one of the recorded characteristic values of the corresponding electric arc discharge, is above the predetermined limit value (G).
EFFECT: ability to study any operating states of the roller bearing on the possibility of wear due to bearing currents.
