FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: interstage missile accelerator includes barrels with explosive cartridges with electric detonators, push rods with short absorbers with a bump softening function at actuation of an explosive cartridge pushing off a separated part of the missile in the direction opposite to direction of missile flight and smooth acceleration of the separated stage to the required speed. Kinetic energy of the separated spent stage at disconnection and pushing-off in the direction opposite to movement of the separated spent stage is converted to an additional thrust pulse and at acceleration of the missile head part.
EFFECT: invention allows improving efficiency of a propulsion system and flight ballistic characteristics of a missile.
