METHOD OF OBTAINING LEATHER LAYER BASING ON PLASTIC, ELASTIC, THERMOREACTIVE PHASE-SEPARATED POLYURETHANE MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C08G18/18 C08G18/22 C08G18/28 C08G18/66 C08G18/75

Abstract RU 2551428 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to method of obtaining leather layer on the basis of plastic, elastic, thermosetting polyurethane material. Described is method of obtaining leather layer on the basis of lamellar, elastic, thermosetting phase-separated polyurethane material, average density of which is higher than 400 kg/m3, in particular, higher than 600 kg/m3, in which polyurethane material of leather layer is obtained as a result of reaction in reaction mixture, consisting of compounds, including: A) one or more isocyanate compounds (isocyanates), which have at least two NCO-groups, which are not directly bound with aromatic group; B) reacting with isocyanates (isocyanate-reactive) compounds, which include: b1) one or more compounds, containing active hydrogen atom, which have functional groups, including hydroxyl, amino and/or thiol groups; nominal functionality (quantity of functional groups) from 2 to 8, preferably from 2 to 4; and equivalent mass (equivalent weight) from 200 to 4000, preferably, from 800 to 2000; b2) one or more plasticisers, reducing flexural modulus of polyurethane material, which have molecular weight from 76 to 5000 and contain only one isocyanate-reactive group, which reacts with isocyanate group of said isocyanate compounds; b3) per 100 weight parts of said isocyanate-reactive compounds B from 1 to 30 weight parts of one or more chain extenders and/or cross-linking agents, which have as functional groups only hydroxyl groups, at least 50% of which are primary hydroxyl groups, equivalent weigh less than 200 and functionality from 2 to 6; and b4) one or more amines, which form "cocatalytic" system with catalytic component B, has functionality from 2 to 6 and equivalent weight lower than 200 or equal 200, and which contain at least one aliphatic or alicyclic NH2- or NH-group, with amines (b4) containing one or more cross-linking amines with functionality, equal at least 3; and C) one or more catalysts, with said amines (b4) containing one or more amines-chain extenders with functionality 2 and molecular weight lower than 300 and corresponding to formula HR1N-R2-OH, where: R1 stands for H or cyclic or acyclic hydrocarbon chain, which is substituted or non-substituted and which contains or does not contain one or more heteroatoms, preferably, R1 stands for H or C1-C6 alkyl group; and R2 stands for cyclic or acyclic hydrocarbon chain, which is substituted or non-substituted, contains or does not contain one or more heteroatoms and contains chain (skeleton), binding amino group with hydroxyl group and containing at least two carbon atoms, with ratio between quantity of said chain amino-extenders and quantity of said cross-linking amines is such that polyurethane material has softening point below 65°C, preferably, below 60°C. Also described are; leather layer, obtained by said method and leather layer application.

EFFECT: described method makes it possible to obtain leather layers, sufficiently plastic (flexible) to avoid leather folds in the process of production and further processing, practically without negative impact on other mechanical properties, to avoid visual defects in components of final decoration, in which leather layers are combined with protective layer, with simultaneous preservation of other necessary mechanical properties of skin at satisfactory level.
