SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. A communication system and method in communication systems with relay nodes are disclosed. A communication controller includes a communication control unit, a channel control unit connected to the communication control unit and a mapping unit connected to the channel control unit. The communication control unit manages resources and schedules transmission, the channel control unit controls radio links for relay nodes connected to the communication controller, and the mapping unit maps user channels to the radio links.
EFFECT: providing network topology flexibility.
