FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. Described is a relay communication system wherein a donor base station receives a request from an MME to begin or stop an overload procedure. The donor base station inserts identification information of the MME into the request and forwards the modified request to a relay node. The relay node then initiates or terminates the overload procedure in accordance with the request for mobile telephones served by the MME which made the request, but not for mobile telephones not served by the MME.
