FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used for handling in-device co-existence interference in a wireless communication environment. A method of handling in-device co-existence interference in user equipment includes detecting an in-device co-existence interference between a long term evolution (LTE) module and an industrial, scientific and medical radio band (ISM) module in user equipment and transmitting to a base station an in-device co-existence indication message indicating a set of parameters associated with the LTE module in a time division multiplexing (TDM) domain, wherein the set of parameters includes a pattern which indicates one or more subframes and corresponding hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes for resolving in-device co-existence interference problems between the LTE module and the ISM module.
EFFECT: providing interference-free time for an LTE module.
