FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for transmission of a periodic message of channel status information (hereinafter – CSI) and/or sounding reference symbol (hereinafter – SRS) from UE to eNodeB. According to one embodiment, UL provisions and/or DL assignments received only before and during a subframe N-4 are taken into account, while UL provisions and/or DL assignments received by UE after the subframe N-4 are rejected, when defining. In addition, timers related to DRX are taken into account in the subframe N-4, when defined. In the second embodiment, controlling elements MAC of eNodeB giving UE a command to enter DRX, i.e., to become inactive, are taken into account, when defining, only if they are received before the subframe N-4, i.e., before and during a subframe N-(4+k).

EFFECT: avoidance of double decoding in eNodeB in transition phases; invention defines deterministic behavior of UE, according to which eNodeB can unequivocally determine, whether UE will transmit CSI/SRS or not.
