FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to hardening of pipes. Proposed device comprises mandrel and roller die. The latter is arranged to spin and reciprocate relative to mandrel axis. Roller die comprises at least two rollers arranged to run about their pins. One of said rollers features larger diameter at roller body working section center while width of said section is at least five times larger than the width of larger diameter section. Mandrel is composed of a gage in length making at least roller working section length and set for timed axial displacement along with axial displacement of roller die.
EFFECT: expanded range of pipes.
