FIELD: physics, atomic power.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and food industry and can be used for radiation sterilisation. A unit for radiation treatment of objects with a beam of accelerated electrons comprises a high-frequency electron accelerator, an irradiation area, personal radiation protection which provides absorption of deceleration radiation from the accelerator and from the irradiation area, a tunnel for moving treatment objects through the irradiation area, a conveyor system for moving treatment objects between loading/unloading areas through the irradiation area. The personal radiation protection is in the form of a housing which consists of a set of same-type steel plates arranged perpendicular to the axis of the accelerator, and the conveyor system for moving treatment objects is equipped with two modules for double-sided irradiation of treatment objects with devices for continuous movement of treatment objects through the irradiation area. The group of inventions also relates to a version of said radiation treatment unit, wherein the accelerator is arranged horizontally, and the conveyor system is equipped with two modules for double-sided irradiation of treatment objects with reversible carriages, equipped with containers for turning treatment objects by 180 degrees in the horizontal plane for double-sided irradiation thereof.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables sterilisation of objects and simplifies maintenance of the accelerator.
