SUBSTANCE: invention relates to user interfaces for touch screen devices and specifically to a method for user interaction with a device through various touch events which are detected by multiple touch sensors formed on different surfaces of a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal, having first and second touch regions, detects a touch event which includes a first touch detected on the first touch region and a second touch detected on the second touch region, identifies a movement pattern of the touch event and provides a user interface in accordance with the movement pattern. The mobile terminal executes a plurality of applications, at least one of which is executed in accordance with the corresponding content items, and providing the user interface includes displaying at least one execution window of said executable applications in response to identification of the movement pattern.
EFFECT: larger number of possible touch gestures corresponding to user commands.
