SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shaving devices. The mechanism for adjusting the distance between the element for cutting hair and the comb attachment of the device for hair care comprises a first rotating part and a second rotating part. The first rotating part is rotated between the first and the second stop positions. The parts are aligned in the axial direction. The second rotating part comprises a first rotating stage, in which the first rotating part is rotated to the first angle of rotation. In the second stage of rotation the first rotating part is configured to engage the second rotating part. At that the second rotating part is rotated to the second angle of rotation. The device for hair care comprises an element for hair cutting and a comb attachment, as well as provided with a mechanism of adjustment the distance between them. The method of adjustment of the distance between the element for cutting hair and the comb attachment of rotation is implemented, engagement and additional engagement of the first rotating part to the second angle of rotation to the second stop position.
EFFECT: fine adjustment of the length of the hair cutting.
