FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: in the fire extinguishing unit using a gas-liquid mixture, comprising a vessel in which the extinguishing agent is stored, which is equipped with a gas-liquid mixture formation device of vortex type which is made in the form of a conical mixing chamber with a tangential inlet in the upper part, by a flexible high-pressure hose, the working gas (e.g., nitrogen or CO2) to the vessel from the starting cylinder, at that the gas supply is carried by a vortex element coaxial to the chamber and made in the form of a conical perforated spiral with the perforation coefficient in the range of 50÷80%, and feeding the gas-liquid mixture to the central pipeline is carried out from the lower part of the chamber, the each unit of the distribution network comprises a device of the gas-liquid mixture distribution, the separation of the flow into two directions a standard tee is used, and in the separation of the flow into three or more directions the dispensing device of special design is used, such as chamber type, and each sprinkler or block of sprinklers is provided with a device of orientation in one or two planes, each sprinkler is made in the form of a deluge head comprising a housing and a spraying device mounted on it, the housing is formed as a threaded fitting with a through hole, by which the head is mounted on the distribution pipelines. The threaded part is connected with the end annular flange axially symmetric to the housing, in which the locking valve is located, at that the end annular flange is attached to the two curved volume stiffening ribs, which are connected to the spraying device. The diameter of the annular flange surface, which is attached to two ends of the volume stiffening ribs is at least 3 times the diameter of the surface of the spraying device, which is connected to two other opposite ends of the volume stiffening ribs, and the spraying device is made in form of a socket connector, which is a part of a spherical surface bounded by inner and outer hemispheres, and having a thickness "s". The centre of the hemisphere lies on the line connecting the axes of the through hole of the threaded fitting and the valve shaft, and on the socket connector at its outer side at least three slots are formed, which axes are located on the lines radial with respect to the hemisphere, in the peripheral part of the hemisphere at least two rows of throttling openings are made, located circumferentially, the centres of which lie in planes parallel to a diametral plane of the hemisphere, which is perpendicular to the line connecting the axes of the through hole of the threaded fitting and the axis of the valve, and in each row there are at least three throttle openings, and the grooves form lobes on the socket connector, a part of which is bent towards the throttle openings, at that the bent lobes are made alternately with the non-bent lobes.

EFFECT: increase in operation speed of the fire extinguishing system and efficiency of spraying the gas-liquid mixture.
