FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a container for storing liquid such as paint. The container comprises a cover and a housing which has a wall forming an open end. The cover has a seal made with the ability to seal the open end of the housing when the container is closed. The cover has a cover wall located adjacent to the housing wall part to form the channel ending at the seal. One or both of the adjacent wall parts of the housing and the cover wall additionally form the chamber made with the ability to interrupt any movement of liquid before it reaches the seal. At least a part of the housing and/or cover of the container is made of metal, and the profile of the chamber is obtained by the rolling process.

EFFECT: chamber is used to prevent capillary seepage of liquid into the area adjacent the seal, thus eliminating the subsequent problems with opening the cover.
