FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: end cover contains part of the center panel. Prior to applying pressure to the food or beverage container, the projection is substantially flat, which improves the process of laying and transporting the end caps. After the container is filled with a food or drink and is under pressure, the protrusion selectively deflects and lifts the tail of the tongue to facilitate access.
EFFECT: facilitates access to the tab for its use.
