FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment and can be used for determination of characteristics of mechanical properties of sheet materials in conditions of plain strain. The method of testing of constructional sheet materials for stretching consists in that along the whole opposite working part of the plane of the rectangular sample the antifrictional gasket is placed, its edges are flanged and the sample is placed on the mandrel with the rectangular cross-section, before the loading by the stretching effort the pads are placed on the flanged edges of the sample and the mandrel which cover sample end faces, and the loading is performed through unflanged edges of the sample. Before the testing on peripheries of the working part of the sample two longitudinal rifts blocking the sample strain on its width are formed, the sample is loaded until destruction, the thickness of the sample working part is measured near the formed crack on the basis of which the value of limit plasticity of the sample material is calculated.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of test by avoidance of strain along the width of the sample working part.
