FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing hydrocarbons from carbon dioxide and water, in which the first reaction reservoir, which contains a positive electrode and a liquid electrolytic medium, including water and an ionising material, is provided; the second reaction reservoir, containing a negative electrode and the liquid electrolytic medium, which includes a mixture of water and carbon dioxide; the first and second reaction reservoirs are connected by connection means in the form of the liquid electrolytic medium; constant electric current is applied to the positive electrode and negative electrode, providing the formation of hydrocarbons on the negative electrode in the reaction reservoir and oxygen on the positive electrode in the reaction reservoir, with the reaction reservoirs working under the pressure higher than 1.5 atm and at different temperatures. The invention also relates to a device for the method realisation.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently produce hydrocarbons from water and carbon dioxide.
