FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to differential protection of electric networks, and can be used for differential protection of any elements of electric networks, both power lines, and power transformers. The result is achieved by that the differential relay based on transformers with rotating magnetic field comprises two current converters the inputs of which form relay inputs, a rectifier, a null indicator, meanwhile the current converters are designed as transformers with rotating magnetic field forming the electrical values supplied to the rectifier and compared by the null indicator and designed as hexaphase voltage system, the multiphase secondary windings of transformers are connected in opposite way, and the rectifier is also designed as multiphase one.
EFFECT: increase of length of protected power supply system sections because the secondary multiphase windings of converters operate with the rotating magnetic field (RMF) in the idling mode.
