FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: device for implementation of the proposed method for measurement of speed of currents and wave processes in an ocean is made in the form of a rectangular piece open on end faces for water; on one side of the piece there is a flat optic emitter, and on the opposite side there are openings of different diameter for optic sensors. Holes of different diameter for particles of the same size are located in parallel lines perpendicular to the end faces of the piece. Besides, at implementation of the proposed method, time of passage of one particle between three points that are located in one current direction line at equal distance from each other is recorded, and if they are equal, speed is read out.

EFFECT: recording of infra-low frequency oscillations at any depths and waters of any salinity.
