FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of particles from gas flows with the help of fog catcher including fibrous ply. The latter comprises support with top and bottom ends and cylindrical wall. Said wall defines inner and outer spaces. Said wall has hole for transfer of gas flow from outer space into inner space. Said support carries fibrous ply to lock wall holes. Fibrous ply comprises collecting fibrous medium, top part, top end part, bottom end edge, upstream and downstream surfaces. Said ply comprises bed arranged nearby support lower end and hole arranged nearby the support top end. Gas tight shell is spaced from fibrous ply surface at its bottom end edge. Said shell has top and bottom ends to block gas flow into fibrous ply part to make drain area protected from gas. Aforesaid bed comprises top wall, sidewall and circular edge. Said shell is space from fibrous ply bottom part. Note here that said shell extends above the bed top wall.
EFFECT: ruled out secondary fluid carryover into purified gas flow.
