FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device and method are intended to determine position of a pipeline in space at operation and construction of pipelines. The device consists of a hardware part: accelerometers, gyroscopes and an odometer, and a software part; with that, the hardware part is installed on an in-tube instrument and consists of a set of sensors. The software part consists of algorithms for determination of navigation parameters in the following sequence: calculation of linear velocity, adjustment, i.e. determination of position in space of the in-tube inspection instrument, calculation of navigation parameters, calculation of bending radii of the pipeline, and correction of trajectory. The data received from the hardware part is copied, and calculation of navigation parameters is performed using the software part. With that, the method consists in the fact that the data received from the diagnostic complex for determination of pipeline position is specified in tables and aligned as to distances, and data of the pass of the in-tube inspection instrument with the hardware part of the diagnostic complex, which is installed on it for determination of pipeline position with an earlier date, is considered to be basic, and data of the next passes is compared to the basic ones, and a criterion of available displacement of the pipeline in the inspected section is exceedance of modulus of difference curvature of the specified threshold value.
EFFECT: improving accurate measurements of spatial position of the pipeline.
