FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal husbandry, namely to a method of growing and fattening bull-calves. The method comprises feeding the bull-calves with the ration containing a biologically active supplement based on chickpeas. The biologically active supplement is used as extruded mixture of chickpea grain middlings with pumpkin cake, preliminary moistened with activated water with pH 9-10, in a weight ratio of 60-70 to 30-40. The biologically active supplement is fed in an amount of 0.5 kg per head per day.

EFFECT: implementation of the method provides increased efficiency of fattening bull-calves and improvement of quality of the meat obtained while simplifying the technology.
