FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to feeding of farm animals, in particular, pigs in the fattening period and is intended for preparation of full ration feedstuffs in feedstuff industry or directly at farms. The fodder additive for pig in the fattening period contains vegetable oil, chalky flour, defluorinated phosphate, culinary salt, a mineral-and-vitamin complex, the following synthetic amino acids: lysine, threonine and methionine, soya bean extraction cake. All the components are taken at the specified ratio. The method for feeding pigs in the fattening period involves feeding of the additive in an amount of 4.5-5.5% of the base ration, in addition to with the base ration containing grains. The additive is fed to pigs at an age from 121 to 205 days.
EFFECT: proposed additive application in the ration of pigs being fatted enhances intensity of pigs growth, meat quality due to gain in carcass weight and flesh weight as well as due to protein content increase and reduction of fat yield in the carcass with simultaneous reduction of fodders consumption per product unit.
