FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detection and identification of small unmanned aerial vehicles (SUAV). The disclosed method employs three or more images and signals at three or more spaced-apart points on gyro-stabilised platforms connected to each other by operating bases. The operating bases automatically determine the distance between each other and their spatial coordinates, which enables positioning at any convenient places on both a mobile and fixed object. Each base has three sensors operating in an optical (all-round looking camera), acoustic and in three or more adjustable radar electromagnetic wave ranges. Control of the operation of the three channels and processing of the obtained information and signals is carried out by a computer with artificial intelligence elements, which selects the most efficient channel for more accurate detection and determination of spatial coordinates of the SUAV in different surveillance conditions, which enables to construct a 3D image of the SUAV and compare with known images for identification thereof and determining means of counteracting the SUAV.
EFFECT: developing a method of detecting a SUAV in different surveillance conditions using sensors operating in the optical, audio and radar electromagnetic wave ranges.
