FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in optical instrument-making, particularly in optical systems of flight simulators, and for improving performance thereof. An optical collimation device for a flight simulator, which is off-axis and decentralised on an aperture, comprising a segmented spherical concave mirror with a centre of curvature C1, a segmented spherical screen with a centre of curvature d, mounted with the convex side to the segmented spherical concave mirror, projectors, the point of intersection of optical axes of which is superimposed with the centre of curvature C2 of the segmented spherical mirror, the segmented spherical concave mirror with a centre of curvature C1 is mounted over the segmented spherical screen with a centre of curvature C2, the optical axes of the optical collimation device and the projectors are located in the lower part of the optical collimation device under the segmented spherical concave mirror, wherein the distance d between the centres of curvature C1 and C2 satisfies the condition: 0≤d<0.15(Rm-Rs), where Rm, Rs are the radii of curvature of the segmented spherical concave mirror and the segmented spherical screen.
EFFECT: reduced size of the optical collimation device and improved image quality owing to smaller dimensions of scattering spots of images of point objects.
