FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to projection systems for film projection and video decorations as television sets or displays. Projection system comprises a visual projection screen, one or more projectors, and one or more flat edge mirrors which are inclined towards plane of screen in order to reflect projection beam onto plane of screen or onto another edge mirror. Projection beams are directed towards screen at angles of 3 to 30 degrees. Screen is formed as a single entity or from strips of black anti-glare materials. Optical rasters with light diffusers consisting of spherical, flat or cylindrical micro-mirrors are secured across entire area of screen on front or back side thereof. Video projector is of single-channel design with a single projection unit or is of multi-channel design with a plurality of projection units. Video matrices with a light-radiating trapezoidal RGB video monitor comprising, in each pixel, a triad of RGB light-emitting diodes, are mounted in video projector, and optical matrices are mounted above said light-emitting diodes for projection with direct formation of a frame of trapezoidal format without video correction and without optical projection format transformers.

EFFECT: projection system provides viewed images of high quality in presence of bright external parasitic illumination of screens.
