FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for coating natural and artificial nails, particularly a polymerisable nail coating composition. The composition includes a polymerisable ethylenically unsaturated monomer; reactive urethane methacrylate; plasticiser RCO-OR', where RCO is a carboxylic acid radical, OR' is an alcohol residue, R and R' are saturated or unsaturated fatty radicals with 6 to 30 carbon atoms; a non-reactive solvent-soluble polymer, which is a cellulose ester; and at least one non-reactive solvent. Under the effect of a polymerisation accelerator, said composition sets into an acrylic thermosetting material, having voids formed therein.
EFFECT: invention provides an easily removable coating on a nail surface owing to formation of a mesh structure of a hardened coating in the form of a three-dimensional thermosetting lattice with an interpenetrating network.
