SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a musical instrument keyboard. The musical instrument keyboard consists of keys arranged into a two-dimensional array and ranked as an arithmetic progression of the frequency of the extracted sound on one axis of the array and as an arithmetic progression of the period of the extracted sound on the other axis of the array.
EFFECT: improved sound quality of the musical instrument owing to prevention of acoustic beats and easier use of major and minor tone rows.
