SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dead cardan joint for engagement of engine housing and helicopter gearbox. Said joint (10) incorporates a spider defined by ring (30) with four connection parts (31) spaced through 90 degrees apart. These interact with appropriate fork elements (15) to make the ends of appropriate arms (14) of two connecting elements (11, 12). Said ends are locked relative to engine (2) housing (6) and gearbox (3) housing (7). Every fork element (15) and appropriate connection part (31) have aligned through holes (19, 20, 32) to receive screw (34). Damping elements (55) are arranged between connection parts (31) of ring (30) and screw (34) rods (39) and between connection parts (31) of ring (30) and fork elements (15).
EFFECT: decreased wear caused by fretting-corrosion and impact stress, decreased weight, ease of installation.
