FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: samples of thin films are made from multicomponent amorphous and nanocrystal metal alloys, which have been pre-annealed and cooled down to room temperature, then they are fixed on the substrate from polymeric composite material which in turn is applied on the metal plate. The mechanical properties of samples are studied by indentation into the sample of the indentor which is a steel ball with such values of load, speed and time of impact on the sample which allow to induce a group of cracks. The coefficient of viscosity of microdestruction is estimated in view of either only those ring cracks which form closed circles or circle arches which amount not less than 270°, and form a figure in the form of the enclosed circles or circle arches, or the cracks with spiral shape.

EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of measurements, their reliability, possibility to study even the most fragile materials.
