FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: material is loaded once by indenting using the method of pendulum scribing, scribing results are measured, interconnection of measured results is set with investigated physical and mechanical properties of materials, and operating properties of compared materials are forecast. The mode of pendulum scribing is implemented, in which the indentor at the start of interaction with the sample forms a bounce hole on its surface. They measure length and width of the hole, determine ratio of length to width, and by the value of the ratio they decide on physical and mechanical and operating properties of materials.
EFFECT: simplified method of assessment of physical and mechanical properties of material in pendulum indenting, forecasting of efficiency of application of compared materials in identical conditions of operation due to provision of the possibility of their ranging by value of a parameter measured during monitoring.
