SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a water-consuming household appliance 1, in particular a linen processing appliance, intended for washing and/or drying linen, with a chamber 2 for processing and a system 4 of channels, through which the fluid flow can be directed into the chamber 2 for processing. A part of the system 4 of channels is formed as a siphon 15. The distribution valve 13 and the control unit 11 are provided, at that the control unit 11 is made with the ability to activate the distribution valve 13 to control the fluid flow in the system 4 of channels, and a device 22, 55 for emptying is provided, made with the ability of partial emptying of the siphon 15. The control unit 11 is made with the ability to activate the distribution valve 13 in the locking mode so that the partial filling of the siphon 15 with the liquid flow to a level at which the siphon 15 does not pass the gas is ensured; the device 22, 55 of emptying is made with the ability of maximum emptying of the siphon 15, and the control unit 11 is made with the ability to activate the distribution valve 13 and the device 22, 55 of emptying in the unlocking mode so that the draining of fluid from the siphon 15 is provided to the level at which the siphon 15 is open for passing the gas. As a result, the gastight siphon valve 15 may be implemented. On the other hand, the siphon 15 can be also maximally emptied.
EFFECT: possibility to obtain selectively the function of providing breathing with a closed household appliance, or a gastight valve, for example, for the ozone processing mode.
