FIELD: physics; geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine geophysical survey and can be used for offshore mineral exploration in the Arctic region. According to the present disclosure, the sea bottom is irradiated with a sonar radiator or a system of radiators which generate sound emission (1) directed towards the bottom, mounted on a non-autonomous underwater vehicle which is released by a bearer cable from a shaft in the bottom of a carrier ship (4), or mounted on a collapsible girder (9) which can be pulled out of the shaft in the bottom of the carrier ship. The base of the shaft is protected from possible contact with ice fragments pulled under the ship by a special housing structure - bypass (8). Reception and recording of reflected radiation is carried out using seismoacoustic cables (5), released from the bottom or the stern of the ship below the lower boundary of the ice cover using a telescopic tubular channel (6), having an electric drive and which enables to adjust the depth of immersion of the cable. The horizontal and vertical orientation of the receiving cable in the water is controlled by non-autonomous underwater vehicles (7). The received signals are processed using correlation techniques.
EFFECT: high quality and accuracy of obtained data on the structure of bottom layers.
