FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: seismic-acoustic signal is generated by a source (3) mounted at the bottom of a submarine ship (1). The seismic-acoustic wave reflected from bottom structures (7) is picked up at the ice surface (6) using one or more laser interferometres. Laser interferometres are mounted on an aircraft (2) which moves synchronously with the submarine ship (1). The diameter of the defocused beams from the laser interferometres on the ice surface (6) is equal to half the wavelength of the seismic signal propagating in the water medium. Interferometre spots (5) are lie in form of a circle. The number of spots is determined by the required resolution of the analysis system.
EFFECT: high efficiency of investigating water bodies.
