SUBSTANCE: arc-blowout device for a power circuit breaker has the first and second armature bodies (1, 2), which join in regard to the longitudinal axis (3) of the chamber, each at the end side to an electrically insulating area (8), which has at least two cupped partial areas (9a, 9b). The partial areas (9a, 9b) are concave. Between the body edges of the partial areas (9a, 9b) there is a gap (10a, 10b) through which electrically insulating fluid may pass.
EFFECT: simplified manufacture of the arc-blowout device that ensures a high rate of electric strength recovery for the circuit breaker.
