SUBSTANCE: arc-control device has power contacts, auxiliary contacts of which one has nozzle, insulating nozzle, specified-gap cylindrical insulating bushing whose inner surface and outer cylindrical surface of movable auxiliary contact member form chamber, self-compression cavity confined within inner surface of insulating nozzle and auxiliary contacts which is combined with contact-to-contact gap and communicates with compression chamber through first slit-type duct and with circuit breaker chamber through slit-type longitudinal blowout channel formed by outer surface of auxiliary contact and inner surface of insulating nozzle as well as through nozzle; first slit-type channel is made in insulating-nozzle body to ensure transverse blowout; it runs to self-compression cavity and is separated from the latter by insulating bushing whose inner end confines self-compression cavity in upstream direction and communicates with chamber and self-compression cavity through annular channels; inner end of L-shaped cylindrical insulating bushing confines self-compression cavity in upstream direction; arc-control device is designed to satisfy condition d_in > d > 1,2d_n, where d_n is diameter of nozzle neck of movable auxiliary- contact member; d is diameter of inner end of L-shaped insulating bushing; d_in is diameter of inner end of insulating bushing.
