SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray imaging technology. A phase-contrast imaging device comprises an X-ray source, an X-ray detector element, first and second array elements, wherein an object can be placed between the X-ray source and the X-ray detector element, wherein the first array element and the second array element can be placed between the X-ray source and the X-ray detector element, and the X-ray source, the first and second array elements and the X-ray detector element are connected so as to obtain a phase-contrast image, having a field of view greater than the size of the detector. The X-ray detector element can move and is configured to obtain a subregion of the field of view. When the X-ray detector element moves from a first position to obtain a first subregion of the field of view to a second position to obtain a second subregion of the field of view, the first array element and the second array element move relative each other by an additional value Δ to provide a first stepwise phase change state at the first position and a second stepwise phase change state at the second position. The X-ray system comprises a phase-contrast imaging device. A method of obtaining phase-contrast image information comprises obtaining first phase-contrast image information in the first stepwise phase change state, moving, tilting and/or rotating the X-ray detector element relative to at least one of the object and the X-ray source, moving the first array element and the second array element relative to each other by an additional value Δ and obtaining second phase-contrast image information in the second stepwise phase change state. The phase-contrast imaging device is used one of an X-ray system, a CT system and tomographic reconstruction system.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves qualitative and information content of the obtained images.
