FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of impeller machine vaned rotor diameter. Proposed method consists in setting the vaned rotor to revolution. Device for spacing measurement device is arranged outside the vane tips. This allows the measurement of distance to tips of vanes spinning by said spacing measurement device. Know spacing between sensor and rotor axis allows determination of rotor diameter. Said measurement is performed in balancing system and/or during rotor balancing. Note here that rpm in measurement is identical, practically identical to or is higher than rotor rated rpm. Rotor diameter can, then, be allowed for in designing of impeller machine.

EFFECT: longer life of working vanes, optimized efficiency.
