FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary drying at 100-130°C of powdered ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, tungsten and boron carbide. The powdered ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene in amount of 32 wt %, tungsten in amount of 60 wt % and boron carbide in amount of 8 wt % are then mixed and treated in a high-energy planetary mill with metal grinding bodies, followed by thermal pressing of the powder mixture at temperature of 180-200°C and pressure of 35-40 MPa.
