SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. The invention describes systems, devices and techniques for assessment of noise power in a wireless communication system. According to one aspect, described techniques are applicable for assessment of noise power in a channel of an ascending communication line, such as a PUCCH channel used in networks as per Long Term Evolution (LTE). As per one preferable aspect, noise power assessment technique can be used for improvement of detection of signal transmissions via the ascending communication line.
