RESEALABLE LOCKING MEMBERS, METHODS OF MAKING SAME AND CONTAINERS HAVING SAME Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B65B7/16 B65B5/00 C09J113/00

Abstract RU 2564061 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: container with a resealable locking member based on adhesive material comprises walls which form a chamber for holding one or more products, opposite wall elements, a resealable locking member based on UV-curable adhesive material, formed by opposite adhesive portions of the UV-curable self-adhesive material, wherein on each opposite element there is one of the opposite adhesive portions, and the UV-curable self-adhesive material contains at least one UV-curable acrylic oligomer, at least one adhesion enhancer and optionally at least one elastomer, wherein the adhesive component ratio (ACR) in percentage by weight of the UV-curable acrylic oligomer relative to the total content in percentage by weight of the adhesion enhancer and the optionally at least one elastomer ranges from about 0.5 to about 1.5. The ACR is selected such that the resealable UV-curable locking member has an adhesion value during first peeling of the opposite adhesive portions ranging from about 200 gram per linear inch (g/lin) to about 900 g/lin and up to five adhesion values during the next peeling, each equal to about 30% to about 200% of the adhesion value during the first peeling and wherein the ACR and walls of the container provide bonding strength of the UV-curable material with the opposite elements which is greater than the adhesion value during the first and subsequent peeling of the opposite adhesive layers, such that the opposite elements can be repeatedly separated from each other without peeling the opposite adhesive layers from the opposite elements. The method of making the container includes depositing on a container substrate a self-adhesive material containing at least one UV-curable acrylic oligomer, at least one adhesion enhancer and optionally at least one elastomer; in the material the adhesive component ratio is the same as described above, wherein the deposited self-adhesive material forms a stable liquid, which retains homogeneity without phase separation for at least 3 days at temperature of about 21°C to about 24°C and has viscosity lower than about 2000 cP at temperature of about 70°C to about 75°C. Further, the method includes curing the self-adhesive material on the container substrate by UV irradiation, forming a container from the substrate, the container having opposite elements, wherein the deposited curable self-adhesive material forms a resealable locking member based on adhesive material from opposite layers of the self-adhesive material, located at corresponding opposite elements, and has the same adhesion value during first peeling and during subsequent peeling as in the container described above. A hard container with UV-curable sealing means comprises opposite first and second surfaces of the hard container, both made from a hard substrate, UV-curable sealing means formed by opposite portions of self-adhesive material, wherein each of the surfaces, including the first and second surfaces, have one of the opposite layers. The self-adhesive material contains at least one UV-curable acrylic oligomer, at least one adhesion enhancer and optionally at least one elastomer, wherein the adhesive component ratio is as the same as described above. The adhesive component ratio is selected as above, wherein the adhesive component ratio and the hard substrate provide bonding strength of the UV-curable self-adhesive material with the first and second surfaces.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved adhesion.
