FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining multifibre workpiece for manufacturing superconducting cable based on Nb3Sn compound consists in obtaining multifibre workpiece by placement of Nb-containing rods, combined in blocks by placement between them rods from Cu-Sn alloy in casing from Cu-Sn alloy, thickness of wall of primary multifibre workpiece casing is selected in interval 0.5-0.8 of minimal distance between the nearest Nb-containing rods, which do not belong to one block, which is deformed, with formation of multifibre workpiece by placement of rods, obtained from primary multifibre workpiece, in copper casing or casing from Cu-Sn alloy, with Nb-containing rod being made with placed along its central axis doping insert from Ti-Sn alloy, containing tin in amount from 3 to 15 wt %, and degree of single deformation in deformation of primary multifibre workpiece does not exceed 20%.
EFFECT: increase of current-carrying ability of superconducting cable.
