SUBSTANCE: method of determining predistortion device coefficients includes sampling signal readings at the input of a predistortion device to obtain a plurality of input signal readings and sampling signal readings at the output of an amplifier to obtain a plurality of output signal readings, each corresponding to one input signal reading; calculating a quality factor for one or more input signal readings based on one or more input signal readings; selectively updating a pre-selected series of input signal readings with one or more input signal readings in accordance with the calculated quality factor to obtain an updated selected series of input signal readings; and determining predistortion device coefficients based on the input signal readings in the updated selected series of readings and corresponding output signal readings.

EFFECT: determining predistortion device coefficients based taking into account amplifier response for the entire occupied frequency spectrum.
