SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power industry. An operating method of a thermal power plant involves utilisation of low-potential heat of an oil supply system of bearings of a steam turbine and utilisation of low-potential heat of return heating water, which is performed by means of a thermal engine with a closed circulation circuit, which operates as per a Rankine organic cycle, in which a low-boiling working medium circulating in a closed circuit is used as cooling liquid.
EFFECT: invention allows improvement of efficiency of a thermal power plant due to complete use of discharge heat and increase of service life and improvement of operating reliability of a condenser of a steam turbine and reduction of thermal emissions to environment.
