SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to the hospital treatment of infants with such a common disease as the rotavirus infection. What is presented is a method of treating the children suffering from the rotavirus infection, characterised by the fact that convention therapy is supposed to be added with a food supplement that is Biovestin drink with the therapy conducted at the stage of intestinal dysbacteriosis correction and representing a 10-day therapeutic course according to the schedule: in a dose of 3.0 ml 2 times a day per os between meals in the children aged from 1 to 3 years.

EFFECT: normalising the intestinal microflora enables the body immune system controlling the viral infection with no adverse biological actions of Biovestin.
