SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and is intended for communicating data between a surface control system and an underwater apparatus. The surface control system comprises a surface low-frequency modem adapted to perform data communication in a first frequency range, and the underwater apparatus comprises an underwater low-frequency modem adapted to perform data communication in the first frequency range. The surface low-frequency modem is connected to the underwater low-frequency modem by an umbilical cable data link which connects the surface control system with the underwater apparatus.
EFFECT: high throughput.
