FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for microbiological treatment of tanks from oil and oil products, which are used for the transportation and storage of oil and oil products, and may be used for further production of mineral fertilisers generated as a by-product at microbiological treatment of tanks from oil and oil products. The method for microbiological treatment of tanks from oil and oil products includes the introduction of biomass to the treated tank, at that the biomass represents a solution of active sludge of an anaerobic origin with maximum moisture of 91% and a ratio of carbon/nitrogen/phosphorus of 25/1/1 and pH 7÷8.5, destruction of oil and oil products and further draining of the tank.
EFFECT: invention allows complete cleaning of tanks from oil and oil products without generation of explosive hazardous mixtures of gases in the tank with further generation of biological fertilisers as the by-product of the process.
