FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thickening of suspension containing, in particular, the suspension minerals. Suspension is thickened in appropriate device. The latter comprises bearing structure with modules that follow. Electrophoresis cell comprises at least one electrically connected cathode and at least one electrically connected rotary anode disc. Separation units for precipitate material intake include receiver and piston and abut on every anode surface. Note here that intake sides are sized to act as scraper flanges to remove solid material or precipitate from anodes. Said piston is designed to push collected material or precipitate from aforesaid intake. There are means to turn the anodes, recycle the suspension in and out from electrophoresis cell and to feed voltage to electrodes. Note here that said separation unit has skids with cover to close the intake for collection of remaining material from side into intake during its closing.
EFFECT: complete removal of precipitate from separation unit.
