FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: capacitive antenna for LW and MW ranges and a method for adjustment thereof comprise a matching device and a capacitive element deployed in space, the plates of which are in the form of two flat current-conducting plates, one of which is placed horizontally and the other is placed higher and perpendicular to the first plate. The capacitive element is connected in series to a frequency adjustment unit, having rotating dielectric and current-conducting cylinders, on which an inductance coil is wound using a naked wire. When adjusting frequency, the wire is wound from the dielectric cylinder into the current-conducting cylinder, where the turns of the wire are electrically shorted. The inductance of the coil, and therefore the resonance (operating) frequency of the antenna loop, varies.
EFFECT: shorter overall height of the capacitive antenna, higher efficiency when radiating over a current-conducting earthed surface, and enabling adjustment of the operating frequency of the capacitive antenna in the LW and MW ranges.
