FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods for deactivation of irritants, namely to methods for recycling a composition of organoarsenic compounds containing 10-chlor-5,10-dihydrophenarsazine (adamsite). The method for recycling consists in carrying out a reaction of an adamsite-containing composition with an agent, which is presented by calcium peroxide (octahydrous). The calcium peroxide processing is performed in an aquatic medium in the presence of a catalyst, which is quaternary trimethylammonium chloride, at temperature 50°C or less until calcium arsenate and diphenylamine are formed. The formed reaction mixture is processed with caustic soda, and an aqueous solution of sodium arsenate is filtered. A deposit containing diphenylamine and calcium hydroxide is processed in isopropyl alcohol for separation. Calcium hydroxide is re-used to produce calcium peroxide (octahydrous).
EFFECT: method provides high adamsite conversion effectiveness in the low-temperature destruction environment and preparing in this environment, chemical products of general service use.
