SUBSTANCE: invention includes a control device for controlling duration of driving pulses and frequency of a voltage-controlled generator in accordance with given chirp signal parameters, a driving pulse generator which provides the waveform for modulating optical radiation of a transmitting optical module, a voltage-controlled generator designed to convert radio signal frequency in a mixer; a fibre-optic delay line in the device subjects an input pulse to phase self-modulation, as a result of which the optical signal envelope has the shape of a chirp signal.
EFFECT: increased frequency deviation of chirp signals.
